Meet me in the morning

It is a beautiful day in Chicago today. Feels like Spring may just actually come this year.

The Daily Candy rush has died down and orders have gone back to normal leaving me time to eat breakfast again. Today I am treating myself to slow cooked Irish oatmeal, which is now simmering. My grandfather showed me a trick of putting dried cranberries in the oatmeal while it was cooking. This, in a way, un-dries them and forces them to open up into wonderful half cut crans. It makes for a delicious breakfast and makes it look like you spent oodles of time with it.

It looks like I will be able to start one of the many sewing projects I collect for myself over the last few weeks, which is exciting. I may even be able to start knitting that clapotis, but frankly, I'm still a little scared of it.
